Does your dog pull you down the road every time you step outside? Or refuses to come back when the lead comes off?

Reward-based workshops in our secure field at Mapledurham, near Reading. Standalone 90-minute sessions, £45, with new dates through the year.

Loose Lead Walking Workshop

A black and white spaniel walking calmly on a loose lead beside a man in a field of long grass.

90 minutes | £45 | Mapledurham, between Caversham, Pangbourne & Henley-on-Thames

Does your dog pull you down the road the moment you step out the door? Enough that the walk feels like hard work rather than the best part of the day?

You’re not doing anything wrong. Dogs walk faster than we do, and add in the smells, the other dogs and the squirrels and they have every reason to drag you towards them.

In this 90-minute workshop we’ll show you how to make staying close, with a loose lead, worth more to your dog than pulling ahead. You’ll leave with practical techniques to work on together, so walks start feeling like something you both enjoy rather than a battle.

Recall Workshop

90 minutes | £45 | Mapledurham, between Caversham, Pangbourne & Henley-on-Thames

Does your dog go suddenly deaf the second there’s a squirrel, another dog, or anything more interesting than you?

Recall is the skill that turns a walk you dread into one you look forward to. This workshop is for dogs and their humans who find getting back together on a walk a bit of a challenge.

Over 90 minutes we’ll help you build the foundations of a recall your dog wants to answer, and give you the tools to keep strengthening it long after the session ends. Whether you’re starting from scratch or sharpening up training you’ve already done, you’ll go home with a clear plan.

People travel to us from Reading and surrounding villages, but also from further afield: Basingstoke, Newbury, Maidenhead and Slough.
