Dog Training Club
For humans and dogs who love training and want to keep going.
What comes after puppy classes?
You’ve done the sits and the downs. Now you want a dog who listens out in the real world, stays calm when life gets busy, and enjoys learning as much as you do. That’s exactly what the Dog Training Club is for.
Why owners love this Club
What makes this Club different is the people — and the dogs.
Everyone here genuinely wants to train. It’s a relaxed, supportive space where you can keep learning without pressure, share ideas, laugh at the chaos, and celebrate the moments that go right.
You’ll have expert guidance each week to help fine-tune the details and keep things on track, surrounded by people who enjoy training just as much as you do. The dogs learn to focus around others, and the humans build confidence together. It’s training, with a real sense of community.
How it works:
- Rolling membership — join when there’s a space and stay as long as you like
- Weekly classes — Sundays 11am, Mapledurham
- Same friendly group — progress together and build consistency
- Work towards APDT Good Companion Awards — Foundation, Improver, Intermediate, Advanced
- Dog Training Club - £120 - 4 weeks membership
What you'll do each week:

Short, focused training blocks that build real-life skills:
- Recall that works around dogs, smells and snacks
- Loose lead walking with turns, stops and distractions
- Settle on a mat in cafés, classes and at home
- Greeting manners and impulse control around doors and food
- Handling for vet and grooming
- Play, hand targets and confidence games
- Vehicle and gate safety, drop and give, leave it
You’ll get clear coaching, practical steps to practise at home, and steady progress without pressure.
Awards and progression:
We use the APDT Good Companion Awards as a modern framework. You’ll move through four levels at a pace that suits you and your dog.
- Foundation — everyday skills, confidence and handler focus
- Improver — add distance, duration and distraction
- Intermediate — tidy handling, calm around people and dogs, real-world manners
- Advanced — reliability when life gets lively
Your instructor adjusts the criteria for the group so everyone keeps learning together.
